My story
How Must Luv Dogs began
I'm a 1988 graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in Social Work. In 2005, I unexpectedly found myself a single mom with three children under six — and a brand-new puppy.
Going back to social work full time wasn't an option; I needed to be home with my kids (and that puppy!) while still earning a living. Fortunately, I'd worked for a veterinary group years earlier, and my family had always been known as the "crazy dog people" of the neighborhood. So once word got out that I was walking dogs, the calls started coming in.
With three little ones in tow, I began my journey as a pet sitter. The business grew quickly — twenty years ago there were very few professional pet care providers in the area, and I was one of the first. What started as a way to stay close to my children turned into a calling I've never looked back from.
Today I have a team of amazing women working alongside me. Every one of them adores dogs and brings years of experience to every visit. I'm a firm believer in consistency — the same walker, every time — and in finding the right fit between a dog and their sitter. That's especially important for rescue pups, who deserve patience and a familiar face.
Before assigning a walker, I take the time to get to know you and your pet personally. I try to cover as many of the dogs myself as I can, but when I can't, I promise they're in the very best hands. I'm a bit old-school that way: this is a personal relationship, and my hope is that it becomes a long one — with you and with your pet.
